On May 7, 2021 The Marfa Tapes entered the homes and earbuds of listeners around the world, conveying raw emotion and performances delivered by Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall. Marfa, Texas holds a special place in the hearts of these songwriters and performers, and it was time they shared the sacred beauty Marfa represents, which has allowed them to write vulnerable songs and connect with their true selves, each other, and their listeners. 

On this trip to Marfa they captured their performances of songs they wrote together as they sat around the campfire, on the back of a truck, or near mooing cows, just as if you were there with them when they originally wrote these songs. From a solo rendition of “Tin Man,” to the vulnerable vocal performance of “In His Arms,” or the fun loving “Two-Step Down To Texas,” this album and the accompanying documentary encompasses a diverse range of emotions, sure to take you on a sonic journey.
